Studying the rise and fall of various structures of government and the influence of enlightenment philosophers on U.S. law piqued my interest in a future career studying law and ethics.
The summer before my senior year, I attended Illinois Girls State. During my time there, I collected enough votes to be elected as a State Representative for the Nationalist Party. Serving in the Legislative Assembly allowed me to author a bill creating free representation for victims of domestic violence. After endless debate, the House, Senate and Governor ultimately passed my bill. I was honored to have the Governor read my bill in front of the 250+ girls in attendance.
A few weeks later, I had the opportunity to speak to a group of Chicagoland veterans about my invaluable experience at Girls State and thank them for sponsoring me.

European-History Scholar
Taking Honors World History my freshman year sparked my love for European history. Initially, I hyperfixated on massive empires such as the Byzantine and Roman, but as the year progressed, religious reformations, absolutism, and the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand in 1914 greatly intrigued me.
Eager to delve deeper into European history, I took AP European History my sophomore year. To no surprise, it was my favorite class, and I couldn’t be more excited to Senior Teach the course this year! I look forward to helping high school students comprehend the challenging readings and concepts, provide useful study materials, host review sessions, and aid my teacher during lectures.
Hair/Makeup Artist
I’ve always loved hair and makeup, and as a dancer, my performances gave me an outlet to truly shine. At a young age, I started to research hair and make techniques on YouTube and even started my own channel to showcase a range of styles from fun rainbow eyeshadow looks to natural glam.
During my junior year, I joined the theatre department as the hair and makeup artist for the musicals Six and Chicago. I can’t wait to find out this year’s productions!
This summer I began working at Ulta Beauty as a Beauty Advisor. I assist beauty lovers with product recommendations in makeup, skincare, haircare, nail care, and fragrance.
